About me

Richard and I moved to the delightful village of Tebworth in 2012, since when we have joined in and contributed to the life of the community. From a personal perspective, I’ve worked in the NHS for over 40 years in several specialisations, retiring as a Matron from my last appointment at The University Hospitals of Leicester. Since when, I’ve committed myself to work in the local community, both as a member of the church fundraising group and the Memorial Hall committee. Each month I join with others in producing products and assisting in running the local “pop-up” tearoom. I’ve also participated in the local campaign, helping to remove litter which blights our roads and lovely countryside. In the wider community, I’ve recently joined the local branch of the Womens’ Institute. Like many willing volunteers, I try to fit my hobbies around my other commitments. These include walking with my dog Bella, cooking, travelling, scuba-diving and when time is available, fly-fishing. But, above all, I relish the times I spend in the company of my friends and family, especially my children and grandchildren.
