After a long cold winter it is really welcome to have some warmer days and spring seems so much more special. Lots to read about in the magazine:
• The Sports club had a very successful quiz night.
• The coronation street party was a huge success and we have plenty of lovely photos. Thank you everyone who sent these in and apologies if we didn’t have room to include yours.
• The Chalgrave Parish Assembly attracted a good crowd and some of the reports are included.
• The village hall committee are looking for more people to help run the games which will be held on 17 June—see page 37
• Sadly we have to report the death of two of our parishioners one past and one present. See pages 44 and 45.
Want to make your mark in our villages? Phil mentions that two councillors have resigned so the parish will be looking for new candidates. People seem to be taking “re-wilding” more seriously and we have spotted some lovely weedy verges. Read John’s gardening page to see what you can do to make a difference.
