Hello everyone, the winter season and Christmas is well on its way. There are a lot of festive local events to attend and groups to enjoy.
We were pleased to receive an update from our new MP Alex Mayer informing us of her work in our area. We have added her contact details and she encourages you to ask if you would like to discuss any matters with her. See page 6.
We were sad to read that our rector Rev. Linda Washington is retiring next year. She will be missed by so many who attended the church and those in the parish whom she knew and helped. For Church services at Christmas see page 18.
A lot of talk about solar farms these days. Let us have your views.
The Chalgrave News team held a hugely successful Wreath Making event at the end of November with a view to raising funds for the printing of this magazine. We are very grateful to Lisa Scanes for organising the event and for her tutoring on the day. She put in a tremendous amount of effort and the resulting funds raised were truly impressive. See Lisa’s report and photos on page 37. We intend to repeat this event again next year, (hall is booked for Sunday 7 December ‘25 ) so look out for notices and remember to book early. Tickets sold out within the month.
