Chalgrave News Issue 82 – Spring 2024

ISSUE 82, SPRING 2024 –

The Spring 2024 copy of the Chalgrave News (Issue 82) is now available to view. A back catalogue of previous Chalgrave news issues is also available to view.

After a very wet winter we have had the wettest spring for a long time. And the slugs! Beer traps, nematodes and copper bands all used to no avail.


Did you manage to see the aurora borealis (Northern Lights) on 10 May? If the answer is no, visit page 34 to see what you missed!


This time we have included lots of photos of the Christmas party held in Toddington last December. Unfortunately we didn’t manage to add them to the last edition. Some cracking photos supplied by Roger Parker. Many thanks to him and to others who sent photos for this edition.


You may have seen some photos on social media of the new solar farm being constructed between Toddington Road and Chalgrave Road. Harvey, from Greenwood Drones will be taking photos as the work progresses. If you would like to see more of his photos please send us an email and we will send you a link.


The Pop Up Tea room is still proving very popular especially with Jan and John’s plant stall held last month. More to follow—see page 52 for the dates.
