Summer has arrived and the Parish now begins to look at its best. At this time of year everything feels green and fresh. We are so lucky.
Like the seasons, the rhythm of village life is punctuated by regular community events that bring friends and neighbours together; from the weekly services at our historic Chalgrave church to the monthly pop up tea room and the big annual events such as the Parish Assembly and Chalgrave Games.
The Chalgrave News team have been busy too this year with the opening of the Teddy Bear Orphanage, hosting a bingo night, a wreath making work shop and now planning a Christmas tree light up ceremony at St Marys Close. These events bring people together and also support the printing costs of our village newsletter.
In this edition you will find such a lot is going on for a small parish with so many people happy to give their time and efforts to make sure Chalgrave stays a happy and vibrant community. So, a big thank you to all who host our village events, all who come along to them and all who support in any way they can. Thanks also to everyone who has contributed to this bumper summer edition of The Chalgrave News.
